OCC Lip Tars

OCC Lip Tars..

Hey beauts! It's been a while since my last post. Just thought I'd show you my lip tars. I bought them at IMATS London this year for £7 each and got one free from the lovely OCC representative! (OCC = Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics by the way).
The colours I bought were Pageant, Trick, Melange and Memento.

These are lovely. They're not quite a lip gloss but neither a lipstick. I really don't know how to describe them. They have a satin kind of finish and are very long lasting like a lipstick but are in a squeezy tube like a lip gloss. Though they are long lasting, when trying to remove it from the lips, they tend to stain so you may need wipes to fully remove it.

They are really pigmented so you need the tiniest amount to cover your whole lip therefore one small tube will last ages! When applying this, I use a brush as using it directly becomes messy because it has a runny consistency and is a bit wet but eventually dries. I have to use a lip brush with this for a neat application. I find this time consuming so I don't reach for this product too often. But these apply gorgeously if time is taken.
They are available to buy in a very large selection of colours. The great thing is, you can mix the lip tars to make your very own unique colour! Lip tars are even available to purchase in black and white to lighten or darken colours.

I bought this from IMATS but I'm sure they can be purchased from other places too. I know at www.love-makeup.co.uk they retail for £8.99 but after reading Danniella's post from 2matesandablog, I realised they could be purchased from Debenhams too!

Here, on my arm, are swatches of colours that I own in the OCC Lip Tars.

These lip tars, are so affordable and are guaranteed to last a long time because a little really does go a long way!

Go and check them out!
